International Grants
The Foundation encourages proposals from or about communities in developing countries where even a small dollar amount can make a tremendous impact. However, due to the size of the Foundation, we must limit our grants to specific countries. We generally prefer not to fund projects in countries in which there is interest from larger foundations (i.e., Costa Rica, South Africa). We do not fund projects in large countries (i.e., former Soviet Union, Brazil, India, Mexico).

We are currently ONLY funding international projects located in:
• Cameroon
• the Caribbean and Madagascar (marine issues only)
• Central America (not Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama or Belize)
• In Guatemala: only environmental education projects for students and/or teachers
• Ghana (environmental projects only)
• Tanzania
• Papua New Guinea
• South America (not Argentina, Brazil, Fr. Guyana, Suriname, Uruguay, Columbia, or Venezuela)

U.S. Grants
The Foundation only funds projects in the US that are located in New England. Any educational or community projects are limited to the Boston area with a strong preference for those on the North Shore of Massachusetts because we feel a responsibility toward the local community. The environmental projects we fund are generally located on the North Shore and occasionally in Boston.

Individual Grants
The Foundation rarely funds individuals. When we do, it is mostly for small environmental research projects. We do not fund individuals who are seeking capital for business ventures, book publishing, music recording or other similar ventures.
