International Grants                                                Versión en español

The Foundation encourages proposals for community based projects in developing countries where even a small dollar amount can make a tremendous impact. However, due to the size of the Foundation, we must limit our grants to specific countries.

As of last year, the foundation has begun to narrow the geographic focus of our international grant-making to a few priority regions. We will be considering project proposals from the following countries:

Central America

  • Gulf of Honduras countries (Belize, Guatemala, Honduras)

South America
  • Andean countries (Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru)

Africa
  • West Africa (Ghana, Cameroon)

In addition, we will consider invited proposals from several countries where we have been working over the past decade. These include:
  • Papua New Guinea
  • Tanzania
  • Nicaragua
  • El Salvador

U.S. Grants

While the Foundation's emphasis is on working internationally, we do fund a limited number of local projects in communities of the North Shore of Massachusetts where we are based. Organizations working in this region are welcome to approach the foundation with inquiries for projects that fall within the guidelines posted here (Funding Priorities).
