New Haven/Leon Sister City Project - Nicaragua
$1,800 - A long-term partnership linking residents of New Haven and Leon will conduct this environmental education project in Leon. Based on a UNESCO-supported curriculum, it will include classroom activities complemented by community workshops, field trips and a small-scale reforestation project by the schoolchildren.

$3,800 - To create a farm and garden on the grounds of a new school for Maasai children in rural Tanzania.
